That’s how we have matured as a stronger cohesive unit and thus the band aptly named PRACHIR – (Fighting against odds) formed in the year 2006 and specializes in the Modern Age Alternative Music.

Last 2 years have been damn struggling BUT a rewarding one culminating at the Channel [V] Launch pad III being one of the top 6 Indian bands ..... Survives strongly on corporate, road shows and college Fests - Prachir is a rage throughout West Bengal from siliguri to digha , use Bengali as language to express its thoughts and beliefs.



Prachir is a band with a conscience.



Listen to its originals Parichay , Bharotborsho — the first one speaks against substance abuse, while the latter addresses the youth about changing society for the better.There are also many other tracks in the album like Hotash Prithibi , Shrinkhol ,Sadhinota , Uttorer Bhire , Tsunami which also related on the same topic like obstatles or fighting against odds in different parts of our life.



On 26th Sept 08, we cut our first self titled album from Asha Audio. It was our most defining moment apart from the recognition we accumulated from channel V. The album is getting an overwhelming response .They were the first band to promote Bangla Rock Music in national television.



In 2009, Channel [V] Launch pad III was responsible for bringing Prachir to the attention of the national audiences. They created an emphatic buzz and made their presence felt nationwide





The album is not for the fainthearted . you will like it if you have stomach for unusual sounds and lyrics .
