It all started back in January 2005 when Onur and Semih, being totally bored and wasted, recorded two primitive grindcore tracks at a basement without even rehearsing and put that filthy recording out on a tape which was claimed to be the debut demo entitled "Kisa ve Cig" (means Short and Raw). Somehow, the demo got some good reaction which encouraged the duo to go on.

With the same line-up, bunch of other raw grindcore songs were recorded in August 2006 which appeared on the limited split 7" with mighty AGATHOCLES which was released by young Belgian label Bringer Of Gore in 2007. Due to the shitty conditions, this recording turned out to be kinda weak, however lotsa people liked it too.

After two years of incomplete sound and not being able to play live, finally in summer 2007 Uğur took over the drums and SAKATAT was ready to play live! After couple of live shows, in September 2007, lots of new songs were recorded with the new line-up and these songs found their way to split 7"s with Canadian ARCHAGATHUS (on Don't Fear The Night, To Live A Lie, Raw Noise and Corrupted Harmony) and Greek CUT YOUR THROAT (on various Greek underground labels) which should be out sometime in spring 2008.

In April 2008, the band entered the studio so as to record bunch of new songs to be released by new Italian label Angernoise (ex-Grindmind) as a split 7" with German SLAUGHTER OF THE INNOCENT. Apparently, these new songs are way more varied when compared to previous recordings thanks to dual vocals and full contribution of all members to the song-writing (if there is any!?!).

Having recorded four split 7"s, SAKATAT is now ready to spread the name abroad and hopefully will be touring Europe in summer 2008 and play the worldwide famous grind fest Obscene Extreme in Czech Republic!
